Dear blog visitor,
This past weekend the applications for the Fjällräven Polar challenge have opened. What is this challenge you think, well, Fjällräven themselves can probably explain this better than I can. So here is the promotional text from them:
Fjällräven Polar is a 330 km winter adventure north of the Arctic Circle. It offers a unique opportunity for those of you who have not spent much time outdoors during the winter to go on the adventure of your life. You will be given a chance to navigate a dog sled on your own in what appears to be inhospitable wilderness – across barren tundra and frozen lakes and through mountain forests weighted with snow. You will spend nights in a tent or under the open sky, perhaps accompanied by the northern lights. The journey starts at the edge of the Norwegian fjords in Signaldalen and finishes atJukkasjärvi in Swedish Lapland.

When Fjällräven published information on this challenge a few months ago, my first thought was to participate in this brilliant adventure. In the last few years I have been going on some adventures, such as a solo cycle tour in New Zealand, and going white water kayaking with friends in Slovenia. Though, as of yet I have not been that far North as the Arctic Circle; and I would love to visit and experience it!
Each time on past adventures I have been more keen on getting a number of good photos that tell the story of the whole adventure, so that others may also experience some of what we experienced upon our return. I’d like to do the same with this adventure, both participating and documenting this adventure.
Therefore I’d like to ask you to please vote for me, via the following link: my application.
Thank you very much!
With kind regards,
Eddo
